B&R Construction Services is the MEP engineering and construction management firm of record for the electrical systems of this 2,800,000 SF new retail and entertainment center that will include the country’s first indoor ski slope and 4,800,000 SF of parking structures - from initial conceptual design through construction and tenant coordination. From initial conceptual design through construction and tenant coordination, our scope of work included but was not limited to medium and low voltage power distribution and utilization, emergency power generation, mechanical and plumbing engineering, distribution and utilization, life safety and special systems. Additionally, we participated in energy efficiency assessments and the reviewed opportunities to implement Renewable Power Generation.
This project for the Snow Dome, alone, constructed a path for water from snow melt on the roof of the indoor ski facility. This installation included approximately 2,000 SF of heat trace cable on storm drain piping, 8,000 SF of heat trace cable on the roof and a 300Kw emergency generator to provide power to the heat trace cable in the event of an outage.
