Enrollment Information

If you are a neighborhood family, please go to the SCUSD Enrollment Center's website for enrollment information, required documentation, and office hours.

Please note the following information Early Kinder and Kindergarten enrollment:

For Early Kinder, students must turn 5 between September 2, 2015 and December 2, 2015 to qualify.  Students shall not be enrolled into Early Kinder if the child turns 5 after December 2.  No exceptions.  Our early Kinder program is a regional program. Therefore, you do not need to reside in Judah's boundaries to apply.  However, families do need to reside in SCUSD's boundaries.

For Kindergarten, students must be 5 by September 1, 2015.  No exceptions.

2016-17 Early Kinder regional and Kindergarten neighborhood enrollment begins will begin in January, 2016.   Kindergarten enrollment packets are submitted to the Enrollment Center.   Early Kinder Registration packets are submitted to the school site, not to the Enrollment Center.

We ask that families come between the hours of 8:45 AM to  1:00 PM to turn in your completed Early Kinder enrollment packet so we may better assist you.

Due to space availability, parental request for placement in one of SCUSD's Early Kinder Program sites does not guarantee student placement in the site program.  If over enrollment occurs, an independent lottery will be held, and a waiting list will be formed.  If a lottery is needed, all applications will be entered equitably in the lottery regardless of the application date.

2016-17 Open Enrollment will take place in February, 2016.  If Theodore Judah is not your school of residence, and you wish to apply, please fill out your Open Enrollment application on the district website when that process begins in February.   Open Enrollment will be made available based on space availability in grades K-6.  If your child is accepted, Theodore Judah then becomes the school of residence through grade 6.  There is no need to annually re-apply.

Families may also apply by submitting a completed permit application to our SCUSD Enrollment Center.  Permits are approved based on space availability.  Permits are reviewed for acceptance at two points in the school year:  May 2 - May 20 and September 12 - September 23.

Neighborhood Enrollment Grades 1 -6:

For the 2016-17 school year, neighborhood enrollment for grades 1 - 6 begins on June 27, 2016 at the SCUSD Enrollment Center.
